"I can feel, I feel you near me, even though you're far away..."
Don't jump to any conclusions, people, Emily does not have a new love interest or anything, but for some reason, I really like this song. And yes, it's by Avril. That's right people, I'm an Avril fan. Alright, well not an Avril fan per se, since I'm impartial to her, herself, but "Let Go" is an incredibly catchy and addictive album! So if you're ever in my car and we're listening to Avril, tough cookies!
So currently, I'm trying to learn to the chords to "Why" since it's the most acoustic out of her songs, and it's damn hard to figure out the strumming. My left hand's fingers are practically reduced down to swollen, red, nubbins, and it hurts like hell. There is something seriously screwed with my guitar, as in, I know it's screwed and I should really do something about it. My strings are too far away from the fret, and I should really take it in to get it fixed, although I'm afraid of what it'll cost me.
I'm doing this and thinking about this while I'm not doing the essay that's due on Thursday. I do have a thesis now, which is a humongous step, no? Plus, on top of this, I need to finish Dickens' Hard Times. I was talking to Mel from work the other day (who was also an English major a York once upon a time) and she said that it was Hard Times reading that frickin' book. No kidding. The words are I swear, in an 8 sized font and I'm only page 51; I need to get about 230 done by Tuesday morning. Good times, good times.
Argh, I'm beginning to hate school...not like I actually liked it before.
Self-reminders (because I check out my blog more than I look at any calendar, sadly):
- Clay's on Primetime on Thursday
-check TVguidelive.com for when "The High Price of Fame: Out" is on (because there's apparently a juicy Carson/Thom kiss ;))High Price of Fame is on on Monday at 9 on STAR, 12 AM and 3 AM on STAR. DON'T FORGET!
Speaking of Queer Eye, after QE on Bravo last night, there was this movie about a group of gay friends, and it starred just about everybody. Okay, well, not everybody as in the Ocean's Eleven kind of "everybody", but there was a large collection of people who made me say, "Hey! _________ is in this!" And you can fill in the blank with Timothy Olyphant, Andrew Keegan, Zach Braff (that guy from Scrubs), John Mahoney (is that his name? Frasier's dad...), and Dean Cain. It was sort of like a chick flick, actually, and reminded me vaguely of "Now and Then" with a little bit of "Reality Bites" mixed in. Anyway, someone once told me that Dean Cain was gay...although I don't know whether he really is gay, or whether somebody just saw this movie and thought that it applied to real life. *shrug* Oh well, lol, at least Dean has a steady career with "Ripley's Believe It or Not!"...
